The Great War Educational Trust, a non-profit organisation, was set up to provide free access to the GWLSRC online resources for selected schools and colleges, to develop resources, and enhance and encourage the learning, teaching and understanding of the First World War and, specifically, its literature.

Through donations to the Trust from generous benefactors and Great War Literature, the Trust has been able to provide annual access to the online resource for more than thirty schools and colleges and fund recording of audio resources for students undergoing medical treatment or having learning difficulties.
